Nuernberg Messe Selects NGN Attention Services
One of Germany’s leading trade show organizers has launched the first in a series of trade shows with NGN – New Generation Network as a key partner. The first show under the NGN partnership—Powtech, TechoPharm—debuted in March of 2007. The NGN technology solution was fully integrated into the event’s Web site portal.

Exhibitor Renate Hessemann, Marketing Manager Europe at Malvern Instruments, believes the ask.POWTECH online platform greatly enhances the exhibition. “Today, no customer decides to buy without first obtaining extra information about the product on the Internet, before or after the exhibition. A well-designed and easily researched online presence on an Internet site for the exhibition is therefore essential.”

“Internet is changing the nature of exhibitions” was a statement recently reported in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Germany’s largest business paper. Visitors are increasingly using the Internet for preparing and following up the exhibition. Rättich confirms this trend: “We discovered that the number of page-views per visitor before an exhibition is, on average, 20 per cent higher than for the previous event. The Internet pages are also accessed thousands of times after the exhibition, demonstrating that the exhibition is used more for personal contact and less for pure product information. The exhibition itself is used mainly for establishing and cultivating contacts with manufacturers and suppliers.”
