The digital information service XNiP enjoyed a successful world premiere within the tradeshow and congress industries Dec. 7-10, 2009 in Atlanta. The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) used the cutting-edge technology for the first time to store exhibitor information online during Expo! Expo! The digital service generated significant interest from both attendees and exhibitors. First time XNiP users learned how easy it is to store product information, company profiles, presentations and contact data directly from the exhibition halls in their own free personalized online profile – simply by sending a text message via cell phone.
Ray Baum, conference speaker and noted industry authority on emerging technology, said XNiP’s technology is something the industry needs to keep on its radar. “This technology is in its infancy, but once people learn more about its capabilities I believe it will really take off,” Baum said. “Being a green supplier I always want to support other companies that are behind the green initiative.”
The technology, which was developed in Germany, not only makes it easier to generate and sustain leads on the part of the exhibitors, it also enables the collection and processing of multimedia information, therefore reducing paper and printing costs making XNiP truly eco-friendly.
Steven Hacker, CEO of the IAEE, was extremely positive about the first-time implementation of the new technology. “With XNiP, we have succeeded in offering both our exhibitors and our attendees a service that is thus far unique. For the first time, XNiP makes it possible to easily combine offline and online information available at Expo! Expo!, thus prolonging the impact and use of the information.“
XNiP was introduced to the tradeshow industry by US and German based company ngn – new generation network, inc., a global service provider that has been shaping the worldwide tradeshow market for more than eleven years and sees XNiP as an ideal digital supplement for exhibition organizers.
“XNiP has solved the crucial problem of combining online and offline information. Since the Internet has become an integral part of everyday life, tradeshows must offer even more information channels and adapt to the rapidly evolving technical development,“ said Robert Drblik, managing director of ngn – new generation network, inc.
